Enrolling your child in a Waldorf school involves, to a certain degree, enrolling yourself too. When you get involved with Cedarwood Waldorf School, you become a part of an exceptional community. Faculty, Board of Directors and parents work together, dedicated to the physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual development of children. Parent support comes from tuition payments, donations, fundraising, and participating with time or talent in one of our many committees, parent council or by dedicating your time or talent and care for the school.
Chances to connect into the Cedarwood Waldorf School community are plentiful. We invite all parents to add their unique skills and talents to our thriving community.
Areas of participation include:
• Parent Council, Classroom parent (2 reps per class)
• Annual Appeal
• Winter Faire
• Help host Open Houses
• Hallway tidying & beautification
• Lost & Found coordinator
• Festival celebrations (Harvest Festival, Winter Spiral, May Day)
• Auction Gala Committee
• Fundraising Committee
• Outreach Committee
• Grandparents Day
Festivals are coordinated by the CPC (Cedarwood Parent Council). These school-wide events bring celebration and rhythm to the school year. Our festivals honor the seasons and the passage of time in ways many of us have never before experienced. The generous giving of time, talent and treasure enables our school to provide a rich and varied Waldorf education, maintain minimal tuition increases, offer financial assistance to as many families as we can, and fulfill our mission of preparing young people to meet and fulfill their destinies through a Waldorf education.
