Join Our Vibrant

Community

Situated in the historic Lair Hill neighborhood and surrounded by green spaces, our urban campus is just five minutes from downtown Portland. Amidst a beautiful balance of natural environments and historical and modern architecture, our school community connects students to nature, fosters supportive, enduring relationships between staff and families, and ignites and celebrates a passion for lifelong learning.

Colour is the soul of nature and of the entire cosmos.
— Rudolf Steiner

DAILY COLOR

Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Waldorf education, believed in the importance of rhythms and routines in our daily life. He believed that following daily, weekly, and seasonal rhythms is important for supporting the growth and development of our children. Rhythm can be kept by acknowledging the days of the week through color or by preparing the grain of the day, as the children in our early childhood program do!
