Investing in an independent Waldorf education

At Cedarwood we believe investing in your child’s education is an investment in their future and in the future of our world. We welcome all families to apply to Cedarwood, regardless of their financial circumstances. It is our belief that building a dynamic and diverse community benefits everyone in it. We are able to offer tuition assistance to students from Kindergarten through 8th Grade and about 30% of our students receive tuition assistance.

Our tuition assistance application is open for the 2024-2025 school year. Priority consideration is given to families applying by February 15th! Please contact us with any questions about tuition assistance.

Because we are committed to active equity at our school, we prioritize tuition assistance in our budget each year. More than one-quarter of the families in the Cedarwood community are supported through tuition assistance. If your family is considering Cedarwood, we suggest you apply for admission and consider applying for tuition assistance if that could make Cedarwood more financially accessible to your family. In the 23-24 school year Cedarwood gave over $500,800 in tuition assistance. The average grant awarded was $7,460. At this time, Cedarwood’s tuition assistance awards are limited to 53% of tuition in order to maximize the number of students and families the school is able to support.

How to Apply for Tuition Assistance:

For new families we will accept and consider Tuition Assistance applications once the admissions process is initiated. You only need to submit one Personal Financial Statement and supporting documents per household, but please make sure to include every child in the family who will be attending Cedarwood. We use TADS in partnership with School & Student Services to process tuition assistance applications and awards. You will find Cedarwood’s application for tuition assistance here. Cedarwood’s partner code is 200885. It is best to have your 2023 tax information on hand when you apply.
