After-School Programs at Cedarwood


This year, the middle school faculty team has created a dynamic after-school program to replace homework room.  The following programs are available Monday  through Thursday:
High-School Entrance Exam Prep
Brush up on your Latin roots and fractions and get ready to fill in some bubbles!
Grades 7-8, 3:30-4:45 p.m., $100 for 6 weeks. Contact: Claire Harrison.
Bike Club
Come learn how to care for your bike and gear, plan rides around the city and hopefully head out for some great rides together. Cedarwood parents and bike enthusiasts Tom Aichele and Ben McLeod lead. Parent and student information meeting Monday, Sept. 21, at 3:30 p.m. in the seventh-grade classroom.
Grades 5-8, 3:30-5 p.m., small fee TBD. Contact: Meredith Floyd-Preston.
Circus Club
Tumbling, juggling and fun with Ms. Pearl! Oct. 5-Dec. 15.
Grades 4-8, 3:15-4:45 p.m., $100 for 9 weeks. Led by: Ms. Pearl.
Math Lab
Get help with your homework and get it done!
Grades 6-8, 3:15-4:15 p.m., free, no need to sign up. Led by: Mr. Wooton.**No class 9/29/15
Lego Robotics
Cedarwood’s very own Lego robotics team led by Mr. Wooton and Ms. Casey. Teams currently forming.
Grade 5 only, 3:20-4:20 p.m.; grades 6-8, 4:15-5:15 p.m.; $150 for the year. Contact: Jacob Wooton or Shannon Casey. **No class 9/29/15
Spanish Lab
Get some pointers and improve your accent!
Grades 5-8, 3:30-4:30 p.m., free, no need to sign up. Led by: Señora Michelle.
Math Lab
More help with homework!
Grades 6-8, 12:45-1:30 p.m., free, no need to sign up. Led by: Mr. Wooton.
Chess Club
Grades 5-8, 1:30-3 p.m., free, no need to sign up. Led by: Check with Sunita Sandoz in the main office. 
* We are currently looking for a Friday afternoon option.  If you have an idea, please contact our seventh-grade teacher, Ms. Floyd Preston.

All Cedarwood families are invited to upload our school calendar to their personal scheduling devices (smartphone, Google calendar, etc.). Please go to the Cedarwood Calendar tab on our website.  This will keep you informed of all classroom and school activities.

*Please note that calendaring for an entire school community can be a challenging endeavor, and occasionally events throughout the year will need to be rescheduled. We will do our best to keep you updated when these changes occur. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
