At Cedarwood, we’re excited to extend our love of learning to the wider community through our Homeschool Partnership Program. This series invites homeschool students to join us on campus for hands-on, creative classes led by experienced Cedarwood teachers. Rooted in Waldorf Education, the program offers children a chance to explore the arts, connect with peers, and experience the warmth and rhythm of our school.

Join two beloved Cedarwood Waldorf School instructors for weekly engaging enrichment classes. This nine-week series is designed especially for homeschool students in Grades 1–4 and is separate from our regular enrolled grades programming. Parents are welcome to stay and observe or drop off students.

About Your Teachers

Eric Zimmerman is a physical theater teacher and performer. He trained at the Jacques Lecoq School of Theatre in Paris, France (2012-2014), before founding his own theater company based in Oslo, Norway.

In 2016, he moved back to NYC to pursue a master’s degree in Educational Theater and to teach theater for New York’s DOE. Having moved to Portland, Oregon, in 2022, Eric is the Movement teacher at Cedarwood Waldorf School. He loves sharing his talents in physical storytelling and expression with his young movers.

Silva Santana Settle was born and raised between México City and Cuernavaca, Morelos. She earned her degree in Psychology from La Universidad de las Américas in the state of Puebla, México. She moved to the United States 25 years ago, where her journey in education gradually unfolded.

After more than 10 years working as a social worker, she found her calling in Waldorf education, where she has spent the past 9 years working as a Spanish teacher, a handwork assistant, and an Early Childhood teacher. Silvia is now deepening her work by beginning a Handwork Teacher Training program. This is a path that brings together her love for fiber arts, care for children, and her commitment to Waldorf pedagogy.

Silvia has two children who grew up within the Waldorf schools and communities, and now both study at Oregon State University.
