Winter Spiral: Day Three

“The third light of Advent is the light of beasts. Animals of farm, field, forest, air and sea. All await the birth in greatest and in least.”

This evening we honor the animals large and small who reflect back our humanity to us. We are grateful for their companionship, the lessons they offer about caring, loving, and sharing the earth with each other.

This evening we have two Winter Spiral stories to share!

The first, “The Nine Lives of Catherine Enneas,” is best for younger children. Our second story, “The Great Hiss,” is intended for older listeners.

Enjoy!

Chiaki Uchiyama has recorded these beautiful songs on the lyre for you to listen to at home — just like we do when walking the Winter Spiral at school!
