Circus Arts: June 22nd-26th (Rising Grades 5-8) 2026
With Michael O'Neill!
June 22nd - June 26th
Rising Grades 5th - 8th
Camp Time:
8:30am - 3:00pm
Have you ever wondered what it feels like to walk on stilts or spin a diablo like a pro? At Circus Arts Camp, your child will find out! From ribbon twirling to balancing on rolling globes, campers will master incredible circus skills while laughing their way through clowning and theatrical explorations. They’ll create colorful props, play zany games, and work together to craft an end-of-week show so entertaining you might want to hire them for your next family reunion.
Leading the charge is Michael O'Neill. Michael co-founded the Nomadic Theatre Company with Heather Pearl over 20 years ago. He is a teacher, director, and performer who works in a wide range of styles, including clown, new vaudeville, musical theatre, Shakespeare, and devised theatre. Michael brings a rich educational background to his work: he is a graduate of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College and the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre and completed his graduate work at the University of Portland, receiving a Masters in Fine Arts in Directing in 2010.
Michael has performed in all fifty states and more than a dozen countries over the last 20 years, from clown to vaudeville to puppeteering! He will be leading our Upper Grades Circus Arts Class, while Heather Pearl will be leading the lower grades. The two classes will work both together and separately during the week, towards a totally original, wildly entertaining end of week performance! If you’ve been dreaming of a summer full of high-flying fun, this camp is your ticket.
