Cedarwood Rosebud Caregiver & Child Classes with Miss Antonella

Rosebud Caregiver & Child classes return to Cedarwood! Rosebud provides a warm, supportive environment for both children and caregivers to experience the rhythm of a Waldorf Early Childhood classroom.

This sweet class provides the opportunity to connect with other parents & caregivers and work on simple crafts while the children have the freedom to engage in self-initiated, imaginative play.

Parents, caregivers, and children will take part in circle time, baking, and snack time, and enjoy little puppet shows. Parents and caregivers will participate in topical discussions.

Meet Miss Antonella

Born and raised in the Catskill Mountains region of upstate New York, Antonella received a full scholarship to Eugene Lang College at The New School in New York City, New York. During this time she also worked with children and adults with physical and cognitive challenges. She discovered the importance of meeting and engaging people as individuals and her interest in curative education was ignited. She encountered the Camphill Community model, Anthroposophy, and Waldorf Education.

She moved to Portland, OR in 2008 where she earned the Early Childhood and Grades Comprehensive Teaching Certificate for Waldorf Educators from the Micha-el Institute. From that time, she worked in Early Childhood and the Grades in the Portland area Waldorf Schools before taking a grades position at Cedarwood.

After a year away from Cedarwood, Antonella is delighted to be back in a new position supporting the Early Childhood program. She has tremendous gratitude for the gifts her two children, ages 22 and 16, have received from Waldorf Education. In her free time, Antonella enjoys singing, hiking, and playing tennis.
