With Mr. Caster

Camp Time:
8:30 am - 3:00 pm

Come and strengthen your skills with your instrument! We will practice in the park, learn new techniques and experience music at a different pace. There will be built in practice time, chamber music opportunities and creative exploration of music through guided listening and more! This camp will require you to bring your instrument and any music we are learning in school as well as outside of school in your private lessons.

Bryce Caster is a violinist based in Portland, Oregon. He enjoys work as a recitalist, chamber musician and orchestral member freelancing across the Pacific Northwest since 2014. Bryce graduated with a Bachelors in violin performance from the University of Oregon in 2013 during which time he was recipient of the Jenks Scholarship Award and Concertmaster of the University of Oregon Symphony. He has since traveled throughout Germany with the Weimar Bach Cantata Academy, participated in residencies with the Oregon Bach Festival, and received a fellowship with the Broken Consort. In addition to working as a guest with several youth orchestras Bryce has been working with Cedarwood Waldorf school for the past 3 years and runs his own private studio in southeast Portland. Bryce is known for his passion for early and new music, his willingness to improvise and to push the limits of a performance experience. When he isn’t sparkling through the music scene, he is going on runs with his dog, wine tasting, and enjoying things that glitter!
